Exxxotica Miami '09

Last weekend Rachel, Sam and I headed to Miami for the exxxotica porn convention. Since the Vegas porn convention was the first thing I did when I moved here I was excited to head to another one. Plus this time we got hooked up to do make up for all the prop girls who stand/dance around looking sexy.

So we leave for the airport at 4:20 and we end up waiting and waiting and possibly have a canceled flight.. due to button lights not working in the cockpit!


But.. Meal vouchers! $10 each - breakfast time! (still not happy waiting!)


and CPK was a horrible choice (so we were sneaky and got another round of vouchers)


We finally made it on the plane 4 hours late (which means we could have slept a full night instead of just under 4 hours. Oh, airports.
None the less, we made it to the show. I forgot how humid and sweaty florida is!

It was a good trip. It was nice to be somewhere else and great to spend time supporting the girls and helping them. Miami makes you sweaty, especially if your dancing, so they were grateful for touch ups and time to converse. One girl right away started calling us her savior because she started having a panic attack before her first day of work and we were able to help her calm down when even her husband couldn't. From there on it was a great weekend of time together.

I love the shocked faces when we hand them a bible. I pray they leave and give it a read and know the relationship God desires with them, especially since the protesters state otherwise. I am always surprised at how open people are to take a bible and converse with us about our purpose even though were conversing at a porn show. I imagine I would feel guilty if someone were sharing that with me, but people are often relieved at the message of God's love and it is great to see that as they walk away.
