Pumpkin Festival.

Cal Poly Pomona has not only a pumpkin patch but a whole festival to celebrate! Pumpkin treats, pumpkins galore, games, photo ops and much more. It was pretty much, glorious. And I left with pumpkin butter.. Yum!

Who needs children when you have pumpkins?

Stumbling upon a sunflower field might have put me over the top. My favorite flowers which I have searched for a field of just waiting for me to explore them! Perfect.

love, crazy.

"I get nervous when I think of how we've missed who we are supposed to be, and sad when I think about how we're missing out on all that God wants for people He loved enough to die for."
"The core problem isn't the fact that we are lukewarm, halfhearted or stagnant Christians. The crux of it all is why we are this way, and it is because we have an inaccurate view of God."
"When we love God because we feel we should love Him instead of genuinely loving out of our true selves, we have forgotten who God really is.. To say that God is Holy is to say that he is set apart from, distinct from us. And because of his set apart-ness, there is no way we can ever fathom all of who he is."

I picked up the Book Crazy Love by Francis Chan again last night. I hate that so often I feel like i do things out of habit, 'need', routine or guilt. I definitely hate that my relationship with God can be like that. Routine is not genuine. I despise things being done for me out of pity or guilt and I can imagine God is not a big fan either. He doesn't need my love. But He wants it. And He wants me to receive His. And that is where I want to rest. Nothing significant here, just trying to journey forward.

Right now the pumpkin candle burning in my room is smelling brilliant. I am sipping on tea, listening to music and enjoying a slow evening. It's chilly in my room (with no a/c necessary) and the crisp air is lovely. I think I am the poster child for the excitement of all things Fall and Pumpkin. People I do not even talk to think of me when they eat something pumpkin flavored. So I get excited about the little things, I like it that way.

I welcome thoughts
as well as excitement for Fall.
