Kenya Coffee Night {Thanks}

It's July... We're headed to Kenya one week from tomorrow! It's feeling a little more real now that it's time to start packing, preparing final details and sending the last few thank yous to our supporters.

I've got lots of thoughts rolling through my mind as I prepare. More to come on that.

Last month we had a Coffee for Kenya fundraiser at It's a Grind Anaheim. They are just about the best people ever AND they supported us big time by hosting the fundraiser event. We sold tickets that included a drink, appetizers, desserts (all from IAG), live music, raffles and more. A huge thanks to Jodi Bond for bringing up the idea.

We had a great time mixing friends, customers from the coffee shop and families.

It's a Grind did the best job with Kenyan decor, Kenyan Coffee beans, a Kenyan pour over demo and tasting and being so hospitable and generous. They made it so easy. And we felt so supported (with encouragement, generous financial gifts, donations and friendship).

Thank YOU to everyone who supported, invited, came, enjoyed, donated... We are really honored by your partnership and support. I know there's a lot of places your money/energy/time could go and I am thankful for all the investment from those around us and new friends, too.

HUGE thanks to It's a Grind, Tiago & Tavia with live music, Kathy Berg for the donation of delicious cupcakes, our massage therapist working for donations and all our friends.

Here's a look at the event:
