Day of Birth celebration - round 2

So, my goal for my birthday was for nothing to be complicated. I didn't want anything major to take place but it was really nice that so many people ending up joining me at the Yard house for dessert. It was great to see everyone and I felt special. A nice way to finish off the nite..

22 it is. and then 23 and then 30. oh geeze. ;)

THANKS to everyone for being a part of my day. I Much appreciated all the calls, text, comments and seeing everyone!

Birthday-ness, round one..

Well, 22 it is. Embrace it, right? People keep saying 22 was a great year for them. I certainly hope so. It definitely feels weird - old. So I've been a little sensitive about getting old, give me a break ;) It is like leaving youth.. 21 is the last big hoorah pretty much until 30 and then your, well, thirty!

But anyway, THANK YOU to everyone who made me feel special. I certainly did feel special.

Part one:

Started my day out with the surprise of a decorated car with posters, sunflowers (my fav!), balloons, and some yummy drinks (monster java which i accidently ran over and a fuze). It was super nice of Christina and Maggie! THANKS!

Then I was excited to find Maggie and Christina were taking me to lunch @ chipotle! :)

By the way, thanks to Maggie's skill, my chipotle was F R E E .. that's right. He checked my ID and said It's one me! Your always here anyway. Finally, my loyalty pays off!

So, why not keep eating right? Well later I ventured on to TGI Fridays for dinner. Not my usual choice for an event like this but I was SUPER indecisive - like MORE than normal..

I got some new clothes and $$ to go to jordynn in spain! Woo! Plus more sunflowers :)

Ok, thats Birthday Adventures round one.. More photos tomorrow.

On top of those festivities i was thrilled that Jordynn called me all the way from Spain! Twas awesome! Tiffany texted from DC, Ashley from Texas. Plus the many more text, calls, comments from my loves send birthday love to me. Thank you all. :)

the little things..

So, Shannon and I thought that these little espresso stands seemed pretty rad. They seem to be all over - little one room house type things that you can walk up to or drive thru. So, thanks to shan's brilliant idea we took a walk yesterday morning before wedding festivities to the closet one, Mocha tree. By the way finding it was a pretty funny moment but you kinda had to be there ;). Anyway, we fell in love, head over heels. The girl working was super nice and put up with our over enthusiasm about some place that was in complete contrast of something like starbucks. So, we excitingly ordered coffee drinks which were way cheaper than what we're used to. All this time there is a car behind us waiting to order. We have been taking out time, getting exciting, chatting it up.. We finally leave and tell the lady in the car - "We're sorry!" and she says, "Don't worry, you are totally fine!" in the greatest genuine, non selfish way! And, that is why Shan and I are moving to Yakima Washington - the nice lady in the van. That doesn't happen where we're from. By the way, our drinks were delicious.

So Shannon left early this morning but insisted I go for another coffee run with out her. So I did. And I took some photos for her sake! Our coffee friend totally asked where Shannon was. Man, we're so in here!

Ahh, the beauty..

That's for you Shan.

More to come.
Now I prepare to fly. on a small plane. with lots of carry on.

Easter - p2

For the family service egg hunt at eastside we had to hide some 2200ish eggs (plastic of course). In a moderately small area it was a little tricky. We ended up with creations like this:

Happy Easter - p1

Today was a nice day. An early day starting at 6am with the sunrise service but I love that. Our sunrises aren't super pretty or anything but I still like 'em. To start the day in total darkness and watch the skyline gradually light up. It's a nice way to reflect on today and the freedom we have because Jesus is alive :)

Took some family photos after the service since everyone's all purdy:
